Conversations with a SuffragetteSuffragette

 

 

Tahlequah Community Playhouse presents Conversations with a Suffragette, a one-woman show in which actress and author Megan Burnett brings to life a leader of the women’s suffrage movement in 1870 Kentucky: Mattie Griffith Browne.

The first of two performances will take place Saturday, July 16 at 2:00 as an afternoon tea. Light refreshments will be served followed by the performance and conversation with the artist. The second performance will be at 7:00pm and will include wine and cheese before the show. Both performances will be at the Unitarian Universalist Church (104 N. College Ave.). Tickets, for the tea are $20 and $25 for the evening event and can be purchased below or by calling Box Office at (918) 822-4440. Tickets may also be purchased at the door: Box Office opens 30 minutes prior to show time.
