Season 45 2018-2019
Tahlequah Community Playhouse, Inc. recently celebrated the close of the 45th season with a banquet and awards ceremony held at St. Brigid Catholic Church. The awards are named after Erwin Turner, one of the founding members, and are TCP’S version of the Tonys. Founded in 1974, TCP is looking forward to the 46th season. The theme of the banquet was “It’s Greek to Me” in anticipation of the fall musical, “Mama, Mia.” Jenifer Rogers and the social committee members did and excellent job transforming the hall in the festive theme. The Red Rooster Bistro and Bakery in Wagoner, catered the event. Keeping with the theme guests were served gyros, Greek potatoes, pasta salad, humus, and baklava. Directors Sandra Becker, and Bryn Smith took home the best show award with “The Trip to Bountiful.”
TCP meets the last Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m, St. Basil Episcopal Church, 814 North Vinita Ave. Meetings are open to the public. The time and audition dates for “Mama Mia” will be posted soon.
