The season opens with the musical “9 to 5”, book by Patricia Resnick, music and lyrics by Dolly Parton. Based on the 1980 movie of the same name. Show dates are September 14-16 and 21-23, 2018. Suitable for all audiences. “The Trip to Bountiful”, by Horton Foote. Show dates are November 9-11 and 16-18, 2018. This moving play tells the story of Carrie Watts, an elderly woman, who longs to escape the cramped Houston apartment where she lives with her protective son and her authoritarian daughter-in-law. Carrie wants to return to her beloved hometown of Bountiful, Texas one last time before she dies. Suitable for all audiences. “Doublewide, Texas” by Jessie Jones, Nicolas Hope, Jaime Wooten. Show dates are February 8-10 and 15-17, 2019. In this fast-paced comedy, the inhabitants of one of the smallest trailer parks in Texas—-four doublewides and a shed—-are thrown for a loop when they realize the nearby town of Tugaloo is determined to annex them. Suitable for all audiences. “Moon Over Buffalo”, by Ken Ludwig. Show dates are April 12-14 and 19-21, 2019. The play centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950’s. On the brink of a disastrous split-up caused by George’s dalliance with a young ingénue, they receive word that they might have one more shot at stardom. Frank Capra is coming to see their matinee. Suitable for 18yrs. and up.
