Tahlequah Community Playhouse, Inc. to present, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s ” Mary Poppins, Jr,.” Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 7 p.m.at Tahlequah Schools Performing Arts Center, 591 Pendleton Street. The play is directed by Peggy Kaney. Admission is by donation. TCP is one of only three community theaters in Oklahoma that has been approved to produce this play under the Penguin Project trademark. Applicants must go through a lengthly process before being accepted by the Penguin Project. The Penguin Project is open to any individual age 10 to 21 with a developmental disability. The Penguin Project utilizes a “peer Mentor” system, linking each young artist with a age level peer who does not have a disability. Mentors must be 10 years old and can continue up to age 21. For a donation of $25 or more, you may adopt your very own TCP penguin. Your donation will help fund our Penguin Project for a child with special needs.
