    Moon over Buffalo

    Tahlequah Community Playhouse, Inc. presents the last play of our 45th season, “Moon Over Buffalo”, written by Ken Ludwig, directed by Mike Phillips and Steve Ball, April 12-14 and April 19-21, 2019, at the Tahlequah Armory Municipal Center, 100 North Water Avenue, Tahlequah, OK. This play may not be suitable for children. The play centers on George and Charlotte Hay, fading stars of the 1950’s.  At the moment, they’re playing “Private Lives” and “Cyrano De Bergerac”  in rep in Buffalo, New York with five actors. In this fast-paced comedy, the inhabitants of one of the smallest trailer parks in Texas—-four doublewides and a shed—-are thrown for a loop when they realize the nearby town of Tugaloo is determined to annex them.     Trip to Bountiful

    Tahlequah Community Playhouse, Inc. announces the second play of our 45th season, “The Trip to Bountiful”, written by Horton Foote, directed by Sandra Becker, and Bryn Smith. All shows are dinner theater performances. Show dates are November 9-11 and November 16-18, 2018, at the Tahlequah Armory Municipal Center, 100 North Water Ave., Tahlequah, Ok. The moving play tells the story of Carrie Watts, an  elderly woman, who longs to escape her cramped Houston apartment where she lives with her protective son, Ludie and her authoritarian daughter-in-law, Jesse Mae.  Carrie wants to return to her beloved hometown of Bountiful, Texas, one final time before she dies.     Tahlequah Community Playhouse, Inc. is pleased to announce the first play of our 45th season, “9 to 5”, the musical based on the book by Patricia Resnick music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, directed by. Criss Pearson. The musical director is Kriss Harris and the choreographer is Lena Huffman. The musical is based on the 1980 movie of the same name.
