Tahlequah Community Playhouse, Inc. announces the second play of our 45th season, “The Trip to Bountiful”, written by Horton Foote, directed by Sandra Becker, and Bryn Smith. All shows are dinner theater performances. Show dates are November 9-11 and November 16-18, 2018, at the Tahlequah Armory Municipal Center, 100 North Water Ave., Tahlequah, Ok. The moving play tells the story of Carrie Watts, an elderly woman, who longs to escape her cramped Houston apartment where she lives with her protective son, Ludie and her authoritarian daughter-in-law, Jesse Mae. Carrie wants to return to her beloved hometown of Bountiful, Texas, one final time before she dies. Tickets are $30 for dinner and the show. Reservations for the dinner theater must be made by the Wednesday of the show you wish to attend. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m, and the play starts at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 1:00 p.m on Sunday. Dinner is served at 1:30 p.m,. and the show starts at 2:00 p.m. Dinner is catered by the Red Rooster Bistro and Bakery, Wagoner, Ok. Show only tickets are $15, and may be purchased at the door.
