9 to 5

Tahlequah Community Playhouse, Inc. is pleased to announce the first play of our 45th season, “9 to 5”, the musical based on the book by Patricia Resnick music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, directed by. Criss Pearson. The musical director is Kriss Harris and the choreographer is Lena Huffman. The musical is based on the 1980 movie of the same name. As the clock rings and the workers wake up, Violet, Doralee, and Judy begin another mundane and hellish day of work under Franklln Hart, Jr., president of Consolidated Industries, who is a domineering and lecherous man.  All three of the women become united in their contempt for Hart, and carry out an elaborate plan of revenge against him.

Show dates are September 14-16 and 21-23, 2018. All shows are dinner performance shows and are held at the Tahlequah Armory Municipal Center, 100 North Water Ave., Tahlequah, OK. Tickets are $30 for dinner and the show and $15 for show only tickets, $10 for student show only tickets. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. and the play begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Doors open at 12:30 p.m., dinner is served at 1:00 p.m. and the show starts at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.  Reservations are required for the dinner show performances and must be made by the Wednesday prior to the show you wish to attend. Please let the box office know if you have special seating needs are dietary needs. The box office number is 918-822-4440. Tickets may be purchased at A Bloom, Morris-Cragar florists or online.  Season tickets are still available. Dinner is catered by The Red Rooster Bistro and Bakery.
