Auditions set for TCP’S Production of “The Uninvited“
Tahlequah Community Playhouse, Inc. will hold auditions for the second play of the 51st season, Monday and Tuesday, September 16 and 17, 2024, 7 p.m. at St. Basil Episcopal church, 814 North Vinita Avenue, Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
“The Uninvited” is the stage adaptation of the classic mystery and ghost story. Mike Phillips will direct the play. There are 10 roles, 6 women and 4 men (including 2 ghosts!). Show dates are November 15-17 and 22-24, 2024. All performances are held at the Tahlequah Armory Municipal Center, 100 North Water Avenue, Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The play centers around Pam Fitzgerald and her aspiring playwright brother, Roddy, who seek to escape the demands of life in London. They move into a charming house in the west of England overlooking the Irish Sea called Cliff End. The house has long been empty and the reason soon becomes apparent. Slowly the Fitzgeralds begin to sense the evil spirit that still inhabits the house. The housekeeper’s cat will not enter the nursery where the sound of a weeping woman adds to the tense atmosphere. Near the end of the play, Cliff End is forced to reveal its dark secrets. The action builds steadily to a truly terrifying climax, in which the ghost is discovered to be not only real but dangerous.
